Why Del Mar parents make the drive
Your child learns from a 5th-degree black belt who lived in Brazil and trained directly under the Gracie family — the family that created Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That lineage is rare at any price, let alone tuition starting at $175 a month.
$175–$225 a month
Tuition starts at $175. Many coastal gyms charge up to $400 a month per child. We keep tuition fair so families can stay for years.
Siblings welcome
Brothers and sisters train side by side. We build our schedule around real families, not the other way around.
5th-degree black belt
Professor Wally lived and trained in Brazil directly under the Gracie family — the founders of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Few coaches anywhere can say that.
Two kids at $400 is $800 a month. At Carmel Valley Jiu Jitsu, tuition from $175 means a family with two kids can save thousands a year for the things that matter.
5th degree. Brazil. The Gracie family. Professor Wally earned his black belt the traditional way — years on the mats in Brazil under the family who founded the art. Your child gets that direct lineage, with patient coaching that meets shy kids where they are and builds real confidence.
Month-to-month. No contracts. No testing fees. Many coastal programs lock families into 12-month agreements and charge belt-testing fees on top of tuition. Here you stay because your child wants to, not because a contract says so — cancel any month, and nothing extra to test for a new belt.
